Spa Rally The Spa Rally 2025 is under starter’s orders!

This time it's finally happening! This Friday, November 28th, the Spa Rally 2025, the finale of the Belgian Rally Championship, kicks off with the traditional Shakedown and the long-awaited Qualifying Stage. It gives competitors a final chance to sample the conditions under which the rally will be held, but also gives the fastest among them the opportunity to determine their starting position on Saturday morning.

With nine special stages on the first day – a mix of tradition and innovation – competitors will pass Fays Show (three times!), as well as Chevron, Trois-Ponts, and Wanne twice, and six stages on Sunday, divided between Theux and Ster, 184 kilometres against the clock are sure to deliver an immense spectacle! Especially since the weather conditions could be described as "challenging"...

Although the Belgian rally title has already been awarded, DG Sport can still present a particularly impressive lineup, with Andreas Mikkelsen as international guest star, winner of three WRC rounds and double WRC2 world champion! At the wheel of the Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 PTR, the Norwegian is the obvious favourite, but expect him to face fierce competition from outsiders like Cédric Cherain (Porsche 992 Rally GT), Gino Bux (idem), John Wartique (idem), Romain Delhez (idem), Cédric De Cecco (Hyundai i20 N Rally2), Tom Rensonnet (idem), Emile Breittmayer (Citroën C3 Rally2), and even the Dutchmen Bernhard Ten Brinke (Skoda Fabia RS Rally2) and Peter Van Merksteijn (Volkswagen Golf GTi R5). And perhaps young guns Thomas Martens (Citroën C3 Rally2) and Tom Heindrichs (idem) will spring a surprise!

Maxime Potty, meanwhile, will be driving an Alpine A110 RGT+ outside the race, providing a tempting teaser for the 2026 BRC! Spa will undoubtedly once again make headlines.

This edition of the Spa Rally will also see many a rally within the rally, with clashes in the RC3 class (three Renault Clio Rally3s at the start), RC4 (final of the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup Belux with Lander Depotter as the big favourite), and RC6 (battle between the new Peugeot 208, Opel Corsa, and Lancia Ypsilon Rally6)! As usual, the veterans of the Historic BRC and Youngtimer BRC will also provide their share of the action. As for the competitors in Division 2, they'll battle it out during the first eight stages on Saturday, with Quentin Collignon already sure of the title.

Besides the ‘regional’ drivers who make the Spa Rally a one-shot at the national level, the event also welcomes the regularity specialists, with 33 teams competing in the Spa Rally Classic, divided into VHRS 65 and VHRS 50. A race where every detail matters, and the skill level of the participants is so high that it's impossible to pick a favourite!

The service park is located in the Parc de Sept Heures and the starting podium is in the heart of the city, making the Spa Rally, as always, synonymous with a festive end to the season. Organizer DG Sport is continuing to evolve the event in 2025, with a true ‘rally-style’ Christmas market near the ice rink and the podium. Perfect for a family outing, for a mix of motorized spectacle and warm winter coziness!

We'd also like to inform you that maps of the route – and the locations of the drink stands – are now online on the rally's official website, and the digital program for the Spa Rally 2025 is just a click away.

We wish you an excellent Spa Rally 2025… obviously with full respect for the basic safety rules and instructions from the marshals and stewards. It's all about ending the sporting season in the best possible way.

See you in Spa!
