Spa Rally Trois-Ponts and Chevron featured on the Sunday menu
It's the final day of the 2024 Belgian Rally Championship! This is the day when victories are claimed and titles are decided. The last day of the Spa Rally 2024 includes two different special stages but a total of five timed trials. And what stages they are! With Trois-Ponts and Chevron, two classics are included in the program, covering a total of 70.84 kilometers against the clock.
The Trois-Ponts stage, measuring 14.50 kilometers, begins with a loop that brings the cars back close to the starting point, featuring the eye-catching 'S des Poubelles' in Basse-Bodeux. This stage will be run three times and serves as the Power Stage, set to take place at 15:34. Therefore, the final results will be determined in Trois-Ponts!
The Chevron stage, which is 13.67 kilometers long, remains unchanged from its previous versions and will be completed twice. Starting in Chevron, this stage takes competitors through a plateau that leads to Chession and the Vallée de la Lienne, as well as Rahier, including the challenging hairpin turns in Xhierformont, located in the territory of Stoumont. This stage is not to be missed, featuring narrow and dirty roads at the beginning, followed by an increase in pace.
Although the final day, which starts just before eight in the morning and concludes at 16:48, is shorter than the previous day, it is clear that a lot can still happen. It will only enhance the Spa Rally’s reputation as ‘The Authentic Race’…
